The crime game genre has shown impressive engagement in the first quarter of 2021 on unified platforms in the United States. Sensor Tower's data provides a glimpse into the performance of the top 5 crime-themed games during this period.

Mafia City: War of Underworld by Phantix Games demonstrated consistent revenue, maintaining over $1M weekly, peaking at $1.8M in mid-March. Downloads showed a decreasing trend, starting at around 90K in late December and dipping to 42K by the end of March. Weekly active users followed a similar downward trajectory, beginning at 464K and ending the quarter at 328K.

June’s Journey: Hidden Objects, hailing from German publisher Wooga, also saw a steady revenue stream, with weekly figures mostly above $1M and reaching up to $1.3M in early March. Download figures fluctuated, with a peak at 56K in early March, but closed the quarter at around 32K. The game's active users remained stable, with a slight increase to 428K in the last week of March from an initial 426K.

The Grand Mafia, another Phantix Games title, showed a notable increase in revenue, climbing from $470K to over $800K towards the end of the quarter. Downloads decreased from 85K to 37K, while weekly active users started at 112K and ended at 68K.

Playrix's Manor Matters experienced a revenue boost, particularly in mid-March, reaching $655K. After a spike in downloads to 180K in early February, the numbers settled to 42K by March's close. Active users showed a peak at 330K in early February, but slightly declined to 260K by the end of March.

Lastly, Rovio Entertainment Oyj's Small Town Murders: Match 3 maintained its revenue around $150K throughout the quarter. Downloads peaked at 23K in mid-January, ending at 11K. Active users saw a high of 81K in mid-January, with a slight decrease to 67K by quarter's end.
